Members of the various networks of the Parenting In Africa program are invited to facilitate;
- Seeking information to make objective, evidence-based assessment of current programmes, materials and actors on parenting in Africa,
- Bringing in expertise from organizations and individuals in Africa and around the world to share their experiences and lessons around parenting,
- Making recommendations from the available evidence, on programmes and support systems that need to be in place to support parents in Africa and possibly develop such programmes jointly, and
- Actively lobby and advocate for governments and development actors to mainstream social protection and welfare programmes and allocate budgets to support parents, children and their immediate environment to better execute their roles and responsibilities.
This discussion forum is therefore for concerned individuals, experts in the field and parents to come together and share experiences seek solutions and learn from each other.
